The Team
The Penn United Engineering Team has extensive Solidworks and CAD modeling experience designing high precision stamping dies and automation equipment. The Engineering Team supports our AM program by providing CAD modeling and drawing experience to aid customers and OEM’s in modeling complex components for AM. Our Engineering Team has been trained for Design for Additive Manufacturing and can help customers develop models, drawings, and inspection requirements to meet their design needs. Some specific examples include designing a “pre-distortion” model from 3D scan data to account for warping from thermal stresses for a nozzle, re-designing a conventional spacer grid for Additive Manufacturing, and designing integral supports to facilitate the AM process.
